Just cannot believe that it is six years since that tiny little bundle of trouble came into our lives. Today Ben is six years old and he has grown into a lovely fluffy loyal and gentle dog. Not quite the black Labrador that we thought we had bought but we wouldn't part with him for a fortune.
Happy birthday Ben xx
Happy birthday, Ben!
ReplyDeleteOur dogs never seemed to turn out quite as expected either....but they keep us alive!
My sister-in-law rescued a dog from a fate worse than death, when she and the family were living in Spain, a few years ago. He is actually about the same age as yourself and very similar to you in appearance, although maybe a little taller. We don't have any pets of our own, so are not very used to having quite a large, excitable dog bounding around the place, he certainly doesn't look as well behaved as you do.
ReplyDeleteWe like to hear of good endings to rescued animals, so many animals are poorly treated. There arn't many dogs who look like me, its nice to know there are others around. I do have my moments when I get into trouble, particularly when the house is quiet and I suddenly bark at someone passing the window. Often a cup of tea will go splashing over someone who has just had a big shock at my loud bark. Thats when I am in real trouble, but it soon passes.
